How long does CBD take to worrk?

There isn't one answer...

First, it takes time for CBD to start working. Before it can deliver it's benefits, CBD needs to be absorbed into your blood stream. Once the CBD is absorbed, it will then take effect in your Endocannabinoid System where the cannabinoid receptors in the CBD bond with the receptors in your body. This bond begins the benefit of CBD. If you're expecting to take CBD and immediately begin feeling a "sensation" your expectations won't be met!

The next question then becomes how long does CBD take to absorb into my system?

It varies based on several factors including how it's consumed, softgels, drops, creams, etc. the quality and type of CBD, and your body’s weight, metabolic rate, and your overall body composition.

The long answer will explain how each of these factors come into play and how you can use this knowledge to understand how CBD will work for you.

How You Take the CBD Matters

CBD can be used in a variety of different ways, including inhaled through vaping, injection, topically, orally, sublingually (drops under your tongue).

The manner in which it's consumed each deliver CBD into your bloodstream very differently.

Each consumption application will pass through various digestive functions of our body, breaking down and filtering the CBD along the way. So, depending on the dosage of CBD you take, only a percentage of CBD actually reaches the bloodstream.

How you choose to consume CBD affects how quickly it enters the bloodstream. The fewer digestive functions, the less time it takes to reach the bloodstream.

While vaping delivers the fastest results, it's not everyone's first choice and with all the news media of late, I don't sell vape. The second fastest delivery method is sublingual, with the delivery time @ ~ 15-20 minutes metabolized directly from veins under your tongue into your bloodstream. The third is orally, with the delivery time @ ~ 30 minutes but metabolized through your stomach, including liver, pancreas, etc.

The Quality and Type of CBD Matters

The next factor actually comes into play before CBD enters your body is the quality and type of CBD.

CBD Quality

Low-quality CBD products have issues that can complicate the absorption process, slowing down how we process substances. Low quality can mean that the product contains low-quality ingredients, harmful ingredients, or genetically modified ingredients. If the product is expired or damaged by being left in the sun or heat or if it wasn't produced properly.

You don't have to worry about any of that with Veda Vine Organics CBD!

Type of CBD

The important factor when it comes to the absorption process is the physical size of the CBD particle.

Using proprietary nanoemulsion technology, Veda Vine Organics CBD breaks down our softgel hemp oil particles down 40x smaller than our competitors’. This allows for maximum absorption of CBD and other cannabinoids.

The smaller the particle the faster the absorption, resulting in a higher and quicker bioavailability rate.

Lastly, Nobody is the Same

Every single person is unique with different habits, behaviors, bodies, feelings, and so forth. Because of this, the answer to this blog post will differ from person to person.

If 2 people took the same type, dosage, and quality of CBD at the exact same time, the time for CBD to impact their bloodstreams would vary. Each person’s body differs greatly from each other and the composition of each person’s body can change at any given point.

With that being said, there are again a handful of factors that come into play.

Your Body Weight and Mass - Your weight and mass has a bearing on how your body consumes CBD, or anything for that matter. A larger body mass will require more CBD to feel its effects, but always start with the lowest dose then work up from there.

Your Metabolic Rate - Your metabolic rate, which is the process of breaking down compounds and synthesizing compounds to achieve vital bodily functions, plays a part. Many factors affect your metabolism, which naturally affects how quickly your body processes CBD.

Your Body’s Composition - When you take certain medications, your body composition could be altered in a way that slows down or conflicts with the absorption process.

So, How Long Does CBD take to Work?

As you’ve now realized, there isn’t a universal answer to this question. Each person is unique with different circumstances that affect how their body processes CBD.
